　　文中的small talk就是“閑聊”的意思。small看似一個(gè)普普通通的詞，卻可以和其他單詞組合成一些有趣的詞組和習(xí)慣用法，又如small hours 凌晨時(shí)分、small potato 小人物，小事情等。

　　另外，第一段中的pragmatic作形容詞，解釋為“實(shí)際的”，例如：pragmatic approach 實(shí)際的方法、pragmatic innovation 務(wù)實(shí)創(chuàng)新等。這里的light不解釋為“光線”，它的意思是“角度、眼光”，又如in a different light 以不同的看法，in a new light 用新的眼光等。
